Christian Louboutin’s Pigalle spiked red heel was the winner of the annual competition, beating out 25 other designs from brands including Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik and Stuart Weitzman, the latter of which took out the runner-up title.
But it was Louboutin's iconic red-soled heels, which retail at approximately AU$1,155, that stole the show.
Made out of patent red leather, the shoes boast a four-inch heel and are encrusted with red spikes.
“Christian Louboutin's patent-leather pumps are the epitome of fierce footwear,” says net-a-porter.com. “We love the fiery hue and signature red soles - clash yours against sleek black pants for the ultimate in after-dark dressing.”
With celebrity fans including Blake Lively, Emma Stone and Kim Kardashian, it’s easy to see why the brand might have taken out the coveted top spot.
