History was made on the 4th of June, 2016 as a student, Orban Martin-Luther emerged as the first Nigerian to be awarded with a First Class Degree in Computer Science at Kampala International University, Uganda. Orban Martin-Luther hails from Gboko, Benue State of Nigeria and is Tiv by tribe.
According to his twitter page,He is a Google Students' Ambassador SSA, Ethical Hacker, Bioinformatics Practitioner, Software Developer Enthusiast about technology. Little or no wonder he has come this far.
Martins attended Akiishi Generale School, Amua-Gboko, Government Secondary School, Gboko. He also attended Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo where he obtained an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Computer Science with a Distinction. He then proceeded to Kampala International University, Uganda in 2014. While at the University, he was the Google Student Ambassador (SSA) 2014-2015 and later became a Veteran Google Student Ambassador.
He also enrolled and obtained a certificate in ethical hacking. His final year project work, Intrachat which is an application that enables users on a local area network (LAN) to chat and communicate wirelessly without internet access or data was well publicised in most Ugandan dailies earned him numerous accolades. Prior to his final graduation, he enrolled at International Health Sciences University (IHSU), Uganda and obtained a Post-Graduate Certificate (PGC) in Bioinformatics.
Martin-Luther Orban is presently working on yet another project with a team which includes Gideon Ikyernum and Felix Fanen Aosu to produce the Tiv Bible in Android, Windows and iOS versions. Though, they are still calling for donations and support towards the completion of the Tiv Bible Mobile Apps project.
