I’m Shooting The Videos Soon” – TONTO DIKEH

To every hardened critic and those that think she will be a flash in the pan, Tonto Dikeh has a message for you all: There is no stopping her.
Now tell me guys, is this a boundless characteristic too?
In an exclusive interview with Stella Dimok-Korkus, Tonto speaks extensively about her music career and how she plans to build on from her first two singles:

What prompted you into singing?
I love music and I wanted to do my own thing, to contribute my own music.
You got monstrous negative response to both singles. How did feel with all the attacks?
I listened to my songs over and over again and I told myself I did well. In all I see only the positivity in it, I made History. Peoples opinion of how my music was has further strengthened my belief that dreams die when you let the next man’s opinion get to you and I am using now to pass a message to everyone out there, if you can just do it. Don’t let anyone’s opinion kill whatever dream you have or try to stop you from taking the next step.
You tweeted that you were not giving up. Does that mean you will become actively involved in music?
I love my acting career and I don’t see myself jumping into full time music. I am however shooting the musical video of my songs,I will not let the hating stop me.
You released your song on Wednesday October 17, 2012 and two days later despite the negativity your song had hit 5.2 million download on the internet. How do you feel?
The most unanticipated and hated song became the most talked about, most controversial, most downloaded and of course the most listened song.I feel great Stella, no regrets.!
We look forward to the musical videos. Till then I am sure comedians will soon add your song jokes to their shows.
Hopefully. Thank you and here’s a loud shout out and thank you to everyone who stood up for me.

Stella i wish you asked her who produced it for her. Of course if you did stand up for Tonto Dike, shes shouting out for you!

here are some of the creations that best expressed the pulse of Nigerians.

DIET THAT SURELY WORKS.

There's a long list of supposedly sure-fire tricks to losing weight fast, and it seems like a new one is "discovered" every day. Whether it's online, on TV, in pop-culture magazines, or at the watercooler, everyone has an opinion on how to lose weight. But how do you separate myth from fact? Healthline can help.

Infact i felt the celebrities' diet was sure because we see the results and i have been putting them. Who has been following? Guess what i found out.

...some common diet myths that not only don't work, but may actually be harmful to your health.

Negative-Calorie Foods

Grapefruit. Celery. Cabbage soup. Although these are touted as "negative calorie" and "fat-burning" foods, there's really no such thing. In other words, you can't follow up a hamburger with a bowl of cabbage soup and expect the soup to burn off the fat from the burger. On the other hand, if you replace high-calorie foods with low-calorie foods and exercise regularly, you will start to lose weight. So yes, switch out your breakfast muffin with a grapefruit—just don't expect the grapefruit to do all the work for you.

Abuja-20121027-01007.jpg
my real time brunch...Bad food. A pack of noodles has 400calories guys...#pheew.

Skip Meals to Lose Weight

Skipping meals is actually dangerous, and crash dieting just doesn't work. When you eat only celery for two weeks, for example, you don't burn the fat off your body; you burn lean muscle, causing your body to go into "starvation mode." In other words, your body learns to need fewer calories on a daily basis. So when you stop dieting or fasting, you'll likely gain back the weight even faster than you lost it. In addition, skipping meals deprives your body of essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients.

Fat is Bad For You

Not all fat is bad for you; in fact, health experts believe that about one-third of your energy should come from fat. Unsaturated fats from foods like avocado, seafood, and olive oil can lower cholesterol and assist in transporting fat soluble vitamins A, E, D, and K throughout body. Bad fats are saturated and trans fats found in fried foods, cookies, margarine, and anything labeled "partially hydrogenated." The key is to avoid the bad fats and make sure that fat-free foods are actually low in calories.

An avocado, walnuts, and olive oil on a plate.

The Magic Diet Pill

There's no such thing as a magic diet or weight-loss pill. The only time you should ever use drugs to help lose weight is if you have a doctor-verified problem such as an endocrine disorder. Not only are weight-loss drugs unlikely to work in the long run, they can also be severely dangerous. Consider the case of Fen-phen, an popular weight-loss pill in the 1990's. Users of Fen-phen started reporting severe and permanent heart problems and in 1997, the FDA forced its withdrawal from the market.

Water Flushes Fat

The claims floating around that water "flushes the fat" out of your system is just not true. Yes, water is important to your overall health, but drinking a ton of water will not cause weight loss. Too much water can even be dangerous; water intoxication lowers the electrolyte balance in your body and can be a real medical emergency. What does help you lose weight is replacing high-sugar sodas and other sweetened drinks with water. Replace one can of Coca-Cola with a glass of water, for example, and you've just cut 140 calories.

No Pain, No Gain

A healthy diet plan should be accompanied by physical activity, and this is the kind of myth that scares people away from exercise. But it doesn't have to be painful to be effective. Studies show that that intensity is less important than the total amount of exercise done and that intermittent exercise is just as effective as continuous exercise. You should be shooting for at least moderate intensity—a brisk walk will do—for a successful workout.

And a time out at the gym...? see this

hmmnnnn...cough cough...

Eating Late Causes Weight Gain

It's not when you eat, it's what you eat. People will tell you that if you eat late in the evening, your body will store all the fat because you aren't moving or engaged in any activity at night to burn it off. This is simply not true. What matters is the total amount you eat and how physically active you are in a 24-hour period. Before you eat, whether at lunch or right before bedtime, think about the total calories you will eat or have eaten that day.

Choose a Diet that Works for You

Remember, there's no one-size-fits-solution to weight loss. Now that you know what doesn't work, the next step is to figure out what does.
Start by getting expert advice on choosing a diet plan, then read nearly two dozen popular diet reviews. After you have a diet picked out, visit the Diet & Weight Loss Learning Center to get lots of tips on ways to stick to it so you reach your ultimate weight and fitness goals.

Is Once a Cheat, Always a Cheat?

I know the worrld is a global village and i also know that controversy sells. Do you doubt why celebrities alsways find a reason to remain in the media glare when they seem not to be churning new creatives again? Doubt no more. thats the answer. controversy. It sells very well. ask Faze and 2baba. Tell me, when last did u hear about black face?  Or you think his mum didnt tell him somethin? Or that him he send person?
This one below is a must read guys...male and female...tell me your take.

by fynebabe
It’s become a normal scenario. You date a guy, he tells you he loves you, you tell him the same and somewhere in your mind you expect to live happily ever after…WRONG!!!!!
Somehow the idea of fidelity or monogamy has become old fashioned. Like a dead dog kicked to the curb, being faithful has become distasteful in today’s society. And heaven help you if you are married or dating a Tiger Woods wannabe, you’ll have barmaids, baby mama’s and all manner of women folk crawling out from under the wood works!
But you’d be wrong to think cheating was a privilege reserved for only the male folk. On the contrary, women have also entered this new amoral club, and have taken all its privileges to heart. Recently, I went to visit a friend of a friend only to witness what I can only describe as an all male, female bashing session. Apparently, one of the guys who had been engaged to marry sometime in the new-year, had been ditched by his girlfriend for an albeit older but richer model. The abuse was endless, “what a wh**e”, “Bit*h”, “after all you did for her”, “you are better off with out her”. Since I was the only woman present, I sat in silence while the abuse continued. But I couldn’t help wondering if the guy in question had been an entirely innocent party. As if reading my thoughts, one of the guys replied, “abi is it because of what happened between you and Rotimi”. “And so”? Another replied, amazed at his friends suggestion “A woman is not meant to cheat”. For some reason I cannot quite explain, a cynical almost wicked smile appeared on my face. Yes, shoot me, but I was happy. For a long time men have taken women for a ride, cheating like their lives depended on it, now its payback time and they are whining like school girls.
At that moment, I wished I knew the girl in question. I wanted to say thank you for getting yours back. And if by chance you happen to read this…good on you babe!!!!
But then when I got home, common sense returned. I began to wonder if two wrongs really do make a right, even if it’s just a little right. I wondered what sort of families the world would have if mummy and daddy were both having affairs.. The thought is actually cringe worthy and quite repulsive. So my question is this, if we all can’t be monogamous, why commit? Really, is there a point? If you can’t keep to one partner why stand before God, family and friends and promise to do so? It puzzles me that in this time of AIDS and other STDs people choose to change partners like they are in some sort of Olympic relay team. Maybe I am old fashioned, but I believe it’s a free world. If you want the freedom to choose between Kemi, Rose, Charity, Peace or David every day of the week then so be it. But if you want the responsibility that comes with marriage and commitment, then for goodness sake stick to it! (Okay, rant over). But seriously people, the world is full of drama, terrorists plots, recession, petrol scarcity, inflation….the last thing one needs to be worrying about is a cheating partner!

But there are more of them than not. If he has ever cheated on you, do you believe he wouldnt do it again?
I read somewhere that  men cheat to remain sane. And yes, everyone needs to let off that steam...trust me.

Did you believe him when he apologised ans said he wld never hcheat again or did he even bother with promises at all?

One love.

oyinbo loves title too.

Facebook's Oldest Users Jostle for Title

(Photos Courtesy: Facebook/Maria Colunia Segura-Metzgar/Facebook)

Mark Zuckerberg likely never imagined this when he founded Facebook as an undergraduate in his Harvard dorm room.
The website he created as a social network for college students is now the site of a brewing battle between two centenarians over who can lay claim to being the oldest among Facebook's more than 1 billion monthly users.
Logged on in one corner is Florence Detlor, the 101-year-old Californian who, in August, was designated Facebook's oldest user by Zuckerberg and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg. Detlor traveled to the social network's Palo Alto campus for a personal tour.
In the other corner is a New Mexico woman, Maria "Mary" Colunia Segura-Metzgar, who just celebrated her 105th birthday on Tuesday and has her own Facebook page, complete with 86 friends.
Segura-Metzgar, however, is so far removed from the typical Facebook user that she had to shave a few years off her age in order to join the site, according to her 60-year-old grandson, Anthony Segura, who is responsible for signing her up.

"I tried to sign her up on Facebook a few months ago but it wouldn't accept her birth date," Segura told ABCNews.comtoday. "Then I tried again and just put in 101 and it accepted it for the timeline, even though she was 104."
"Now on Facebook it says she's 102 when, in reality, she's 105," he said.
Segura, who said his grandmother is too hard of hearing to be interviewed by phone, said he has tried to reach Facebook to rectify the problem, but they have been unresponsive. A call placed to Facebook by ABC News was not returned as of this writing.
Even though the title would be nice, Segura says it was a much more important reason why he got his grandmother to join Facebook.
"We want to let everybody know in the family that she's still alive and kicking," he said.
Segura-Metzgar, known as "Grandmother Mary" to her nearly 40 grandchildren, "too many to count" great-grandchildren and two new great-great-grandchildren born just this week, lives just a few miles away from Segura and his wife, Mayra, in Albuquerque. They visit her frequently to let her use their iPad to log on and update her page, most recently with photos from her 105 th birthday party.
"She's still very sharp and likes to tell stories of her life and we wanted to be able to record her life as a legacy," said Segura. "We're a very large family and there's a lot of stories that a lot of the family doesn't know and we wanted to be able to capture those. Since 'Timeline' came out we thought it was a good idea to put those [stories] on Facebook to have a timeline of her life."
Segura is also tasked with keeping his grandmother's friends list to just family and friends, no small task considering he had to deny more than 50 friend requests just Wednesday from curious onlookers.
That same fate befell Florence Detlor, Segura-Metzgar's younger competition, who, after her personal visit with Zuckerberg and Sandberg was made public, had too many friend requests for the site to process new ones.
Segura-Metzgar, a twice-widowed mother of four, is one of 10 children whose 99-year-old and 97-year-old sisters and "a couple brothers" are still alive, according to Segura. While she is the only one of her siblings to take on the World Wide Web, Segura-Metzgar hasn't given up on the old-fashioned way of getting her news and staying in touch either.

OBJ: RETIRED BUT NOT TIRED.

He may no longer be in active governance of the nation but chief Olusegun Obasanjo is running things. Things that dare come his way. Here is what i found out in the news about him...
ooh...i miss baba in active politics,seriously...
photo

Since last weekend, about 10 LAG buses belonging to the Lagos State Government have been impounded in Ota, Ogun State and packed in Obasanjo Farms.
This happened in retaliation over the confiscation of a utility vehicle last Friday belonging to Obasanjo Farms owned by the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
The Citizen gathered that the vehicle belonging to Obasanjo Farms was seized by the officials of Lagos State Transport Management Agency (LASTMA) for contravening traffic law and after Obasanjo’s efforts failed to get the vehicle released, his company allegedly instigated some miscreants to forcefully seize over 10 LAG buses that crossed the Lagos-Ogun boundary in Ota.
The Citizen was reliably informed that the Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola turned down Obasanjo’s pleas for the release of his vehicle but instead advised him that his company should obey the law.
It was also gathered that following the alleged seizure of the LAG buses, the management of the bus company has halted all further operations to Ota axis until further notice.

I think he is one boundless human being that ever walked the surface of the earth. Forget his shrewed crude and near primitive lifestyle. Even forget this piece of news and focus on his life, his ascension and achievements in life...and i must say i am not talking about a trace of goodluck.

What do u think?

one love guys.

Now we know, Dame Patience is back!

The wife of the Nigerian President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, has given thanks and praises to God for sparing her life to witness and mark her birthday.

Oh yes its an official personality, that flag behind says it all...

The First Lady, who turned 55 Thursday and celebrated it in a low key manner inside the presidential Villa, Abuja, said that whatever might have happened to her was God's design for her life.
She, however, appreciated God for the gift of life, thanked her immediate family and Nigerians for praying for her.
And yes...her husband loves her...who she is...

i believe this woman is boundless.

MORE CELEBRITY DIETING DIARIES

Hmmmnnn guys, see what else i found for us...
When you see photos of Cameron Diaz's slim silhouette or Jessica Alba's flat post-pregnancy tummy, you probably wonder just how Hollywood stars stay so lean or snap back into shape so quickly. While many swear their svelte bods come from eating right and exercising round the clock, the truth is that some celebs may go to strange and interesting lengths to get or stay pin thin.
1. They eat breakfast
Celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson (whose clients include Jennifer Lopez, Leah Remini, and Penelope Cruz) recommends popping something into your mouth within 30 minutes of waking. "You want to send your body a sign that you're not starving so it starts burning fat," Peterson says. His suggestion: a cup of oatmeal with some sliced fruit and several scrambled egg whites. The oatmeal and fruit pack a huge punch of filling fiber, and the egg whites are rich in protein, which is satiating.
Verdict: Try it.
Research shows breakfast eaters are more successful at long-term weight loss than those who skip this meal. "It jump-starts your metabolism and prevents you from getting so ravenous you overeat later in the day," says Bonnie Taub-Dix, R.D., a New York City-based spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association.
2. They cut out white foods
Trainer Teddy Bass, whose celebrity clients include Cameron Diaz, suggests ditching any carb that is white -- bread, pasta, cookies, rice -- when a star is trying to lose weight for a movie or a big event. "These foods are high in sugar, which means your body burns off the sugar first rather than the stored fat," he says. So is Diaz entirely carbophobic? No -- she gets them instead in the form of fruits and veggies.
Verdict: Try it.
It's true that white, processed carbs are high in calories and sugar, so limiting them is a healthy strategy. But don't just sub in a boatload of nonwhite foods. "I see clients who shun these foods but end up eating just as many calories by having a field day with whole-wheat products," Taub-Dix says. "Even if it's a cake made with whole-wheat flour, it's still loaded with calories."
3. They're picky about veggies...seriously?
ok guys...lets go there...

MOVING ON: NOLLYWOOD IN TEXAS.

Dress Yourself Slim!

wao! i need this but thought some other boundless person there would too.

Know Your Type
The first trick to styling yourself slimmer is to determine your body shape. Most women's bodies mimic one of a few basic shapes -- pear, inverted triangle, straight, or hourglas. Once you know which shape you are, aim to keep your upper and lower halves balanced. For a full-hipped, small-chested pear this might mean a dark, simple shape on the bottom and a playful, bold blouse on top. Broad-shouldered triangles might consider more of a fitted top and a fun, flared skirt. Hourglass and straight body types can invest in belts to highlight or create waistlines."

Graze, Don't Cling
We're talking about how your clothes fit. When it comes to T-shirts, tops, skirts, pants, and dresses, fabrics that gently graze your body without clinging to you will be the most flattering. When you do slip into skinny jeans or leggings, go looser on your top to balance the look out.

Fool the Eye

Designers know women want styles that will slim them down, so keep an eye out for clever cuts while shopping. Look for dresses with dark side panels to narrow your frame or color-blocked garments that can give you some shape. Strategically placed prints can also do a great job enhancing or minimizing your figure.

Support Your Girls

Nothing can pack on the pounds more than saggy boobs in an ill-fitting bra. For the well endowed, try investing in a cleavage-reducing style. If that doesn't do the trick, try adding a bandeau on top of your regular bra for a controlled top that isn't too constricting.

Break the Rules
When it comes to both fashion and fit, there really are no rules. You might hear a cowl neck is only good for small-chested women, or maxis are only for those 5'7" and taller, but you have to listen to your own voice. As long as you have confidence, you can rock whatever you want -- if you're wearing it with a smile.

one boundless love people.

Happily detox Your Life of Negative People

“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.” – Mark Twain
Okay guys, been doing lots of this for us. Lets go there...
First, let me state my definition of a toxic person- A person who complains and dumps their problems on you but doesn’t do anything to change their situation. Someone who is not supportive. Someone who makes you feel badly about yourself. Someone who shoots down your bright ideas, big goals, or bold (and risky) decisions. Toxic people are usually in a place in their life where they are not open to constructive feedback or changing, so they are stuck in their current situation and don’t have the insight to see beyond their own struggles.
Secondly, this article isn’t intended to paint toxic people in a negative light. This article is meant to guide you in making sure their negativity doesn’t impact your life.
First, why it’s important to detox your life of negative people:
  • Negative people slow you down towards achieving your goals. They discourage you from being ambitious or following your dreams by questioning what you’re doing and planting doubts into your head.
  • Negative energy from toxic people effect your energy level, not to mention your stress and anxiety.
  • You need to create space for positive change to happen. Being in toxic relationships with people and allowing their negative energy into your life will hold you back from manifesting opportunities for success. Also, releasing negative people creates space for positive people to enter, who will encourage, support, and help you grow as a person.
How to detox negative people from your life:
Step 1: Decide that you’re worth it
  • You need to feel as if you’re worthy of achieving your goals and changing into the person you want to be. Letting go of any negativity in your life will help you get there faster.
  • How to realize you’re worth it, you ask. Simply make the choice and decide that it’s time you committed to yourself, your goals, and your dreams and you won’t let anything or anyone slow you down.
  • Think about the negative side effects of holding onto these relationships. Ask yourself:
    • What effect are these relationships having on my life?
    • What are my goals and how badly do I want to achieve them? Are these people supporting my goals or slowing me down?
Step 2: Identify the toxic people
  • Toxic people make you feel worse than when you started talking to them. They bring your energy level down. They leave you feeling bummed out. Notice how your body feels after talking to them, particularly your chest and stomach which are areas where most of us carry stress and anxiety.
  • There is a difference between someone sharing with you their struggles/challenges versus someone who constantly complains.
  • Toxic people shoot down your ideas. They always question what you’re doing. They may say something like, “Well, maybe you shouldn’t change careers because you have so much job security here. What about your benefits? Or your retirement?” This is pretty common and sometimes subtle and harder to notice. Even though it may sound like they’re giving you advice, in the end they’re just putting more doubts into your head because your actions may bring up their own fears and insecurity.
  • Toxic people can fall within the spectrum of being subtly draining to all around toxic and poisonous. Even if they fall on the less severe end of the spectrum, it’s important to identify this and work towards letting them go as they will still affect you negatively.
Step 3: Let them go
  • Just start. Use whatever method you think is appropriate. Avoid them. Don’t pick up their calls. Apologize for being distant but know that you do not need to explain why or defend your actions.
  • Avoid explanation because they are probably in a state of mind where they are not open to listening. They may take it personally that you are letting them go, and will probably get on the defensive if you try to justify your reasons.
  • Do it gracefully and with love. Send them off with love and a prayer. Be open to the possibility that if and when they are ready to change and be more positive/supportive, then you would be open to rekindling the relationship.
Step 4: Don’t feel guilty
  • Again, you are worth it. You must be your own BEST FRIEND. If you don’t take charge of your life and well-being, nobody will do it for you!
  • You are not abandoning them even though you may feel like that. There is a distinction between abandoning someone and letting them go so they can find their own way. If you’ve already tried giving them advice, encouragement, or even a wake-up call and nothing happened, then no amount of wise words from you will change their thinking or behavior.
  • It’s not your obligation to keep these people in your life regardless of the relationship. Whatever the reason, people grow and change and it’s normal for relationships to evolve, or dissolve.
Step 5: Bring in the positivity!
Surround yourself with positive people. These are people who:
  • Support your ambitions
  • Encourage your ideas no matter how scary, risky, or seemingly unknown the outcome could be because they know how important it is for you.
  • Are up to big things. They are people you admire because you think they kick ass in life!
You are worth it and you can do this. It begins with an intention to change your life and a commitment to yourself.

Your brain needs exercise just like a muscle. If you use it often and in the right ways, you will become a more skilled thinker and increase your ability to focus. But if you never use your brain, or abuse it with harmful chemicals, your ability to think and learn will deteriorate.
Here are 5 simple ways anyone can squeeze a bit more productivity out of the old gray matter.
1. Minimize Television Watching – This is a hard sell. People love vegetating in front of the television, myself included more often than I’d like. The problem is watching television doesn’t use your mental capacity OR allow it to recharge. It’s like having the energy sapped out of a muscle without the health benefits of exercise.
Don’t you feel drained after a couple hours of TV? Your eyes are sore and tired from being focused on the light box for so long. You don’t even have the energy to read a book.
When you feel like relaxing, try reading a book instead. If you’re too tired, listen to some music. When you’re with your friends or family, leave the tube off and have a conversation. All of these things use your mind more than television and allow you to relax.
2. Exercise – I used to think that I’d learn more by not exercising and using the time to read a book instead. But I realized that time spent exercising always leads to greater learning because it improves productivity during the time afterwards. Using your body clears your head and creates a wave of energy. Afterwards, you feel invigorated and can concentrate more easily.
3. Read Challenging Books – Many people like to read popular suspense fiction, but generally these books aren’t mentally stimulating. If you want to improve your thinking and writing ability you should read books that make you focus. Reading a classic novel can change your view of the world and will make you think in more precise, elegant English. Don’t be afraid to look up a word if you don’t know it, and don’t be afraid of dense passages. Take your time, re-read when necessary, and you’ll soon grow accustomed to the author’s style.
Once you get used to reading challenging books, I think you’ll find that you aren’t tempted to go back to page-turners. The challenge of learning new ideas is far more exciting than any tacky suspense-thriller.
4. Early to Bed, Early to Rise – Nothing makes it harder to concentrate than sleep deprivation. You’ll be most rejuvenated if you go to bed early and don’t sleep more than 8 hours. If you stay up late and compensate by sleeping late, you’ll wake up lethargic and have trouble focusing. In my experience the early morning hours are the most tranquil and productive. Waking up early gives you more productive hours and maximizes your mental acuity all day.
If you have the opportunity, take 10-20 minute naps when you are hit with a wave of drowsiness. Anything longer will make you lethargic, but a short nap will refresh you.
5. Take Time to Reflect – Often our lives get so hectic that we become overwhelmed without even realizing it. It becomes difficult to concentrate because nagging thoughts keep interrupting. Spending some time alone in reflection gives you a chance organize your thoughts and prioritize your responsibilities. Afterwards, you’ll have a better understanding of what’s important and what isn’t. The unimportant stuff won’t bother you anymore and your mind will feel less encumbered.
I’m not saying you need to sit on the floor cross-legged and chant ‘ommm’. Anything that allows a bit of prolonged solitude will do. One of my personal favorites is taking a solitary walk. Someone famous said, “All the best ideas occur while walking.” I think he was on to something. Experiment to find the activity that works best for you.
Conclusion – I hope you aren’t disappointed that none of the techniques proposed are revolutionary. But simple, unexciting answers are often the most valid. The challenge is having the will to adhere to them. If you succeed in following these 5 tips, you’ll be rewarded with increased mental acuity and retention of knowledge.
