JOB CREATION SAYS S.A TO PRESIDENT ON JOB CREATION.

In 2011 when President Goodluck Jonathan resumed office, he initiated a 5year development plan termed the Transformation Agenda, which has amongst its objectives the need to achieve sustainable economic development for the Nation. In 2012 as a follow up; he instituted several offices to drive each tentacle of the Transformation Agenda. The Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job creation is one amongst such offices. The Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on job creation was given 6 mandates, which are all geared towards stimulating job creation within the Nation. Some of these mandates are:

Dr. Josephine Odumakin honoured with the 2013 United State Secretary of State’s International Woman of Courage Award

 

 Dr. Josephine Odumakin who was recently awarded the 2013 United State Secretary of State’s International Woman of Courage Award.

The U.S. First Lady, Michelle Obama, with Secretary of state, John Kerry presented Josephine’s award to her at the Dean Acheson Auditorium of the US State Department at a ceremony which coincided with the International Women’s Day.

The Federal Government said that it would reopen National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) farms in each state of the federation.
The Minister for youth Development, Dr Inuwa Abdulkadir, said this in an interview in Jos, Plateau.
Abdulkadir said that the establishment of the farms would go a long way to complement the existing NYSC Loan Revolving Scheme aimed at engaging the corps members in agriculture.
