My Diva is 5!

My first is 5years today...okay tommorrow-oct 13th was when she came into this world.

oh yes, she is modelling those traditional bangles made by her aunty- Mde Macikpah.

i remember that so vividly. she came out miraculously. i had stomach cramps but once i saw the 'show' ii headed to d hospital.

Because she was my first, d nurses didnt imagine i had even dillated yet.

yes she was way too big for that. its her kid sista's.

We got to the hospital abt 3am and there were they all sleeping. Of course there wasnt an emergency so they were excused.

But as i  got there, once the nurse knew it was my first, she dragged her feet.

'all you first timers'...she stretched from her sleep. i am sure you havnt even dilated 2cm!

and so she went ahead sluggishly to set d bed for a ;dillation check'

By the time she was done with the bed, poop! came Karissa.

You wld always find her in dis mode. mwuaaah!!

It was our first yes, so hubby was there with excitement and i think fear. The interesting part was he saw her pop out. Yes because the nurse didnt believe i was 'there' yet since i wasnt shouting.

So he assisted in saving her from falling, yes he literally 'delivered her'

i thought that was sweet don't ya?

This is wishing Karissa  Ahemen Azege all the best in her forth coming years.

she seems so ready and fit to do everything! i am already wondering  which one would be her ultimate  'call'.
what do u think?

Oh yes thats her hair...;). Its totally from me but daddy contests that.:)

i havnt had a natural birth since i had her. So i consider my first differently special.

Join me in praying for her to be on the right course all her days on earth. She already shows many boundless traits so cheers to a boundless diva @ 5!

Mummy and daddy love you with all our heart.

                                          yep! shes a big sister!

we would surely tell you how the day went. *wink wink.

Is she flirting or just being nice?

Found these and thought it will be a good way of ending the week...yes? TGIF!

1. Eye contact Holding eye contact is one of the oldest tricks in the book to flirt. If she looks you straight in the eye and doesn't look away, you're usually in luck.
Watch out for: Women who are just trying to keep your attention. Many women (and men) hold eye contact with someone else to better explain their thoughts, ideas in a business meeting. This is completely different to women throwing you a longing glance every time they see you. If she doesn't hold eye contact with you every time she sees you, it probably doesn't mean anything.

2. Touching. When out and about in bars or clubs women let men know they're interested when they make contact. This could be as subtle as a tap on the shoulder or touching the other person's arm during talking. It often relaxes the other person as it lets them know you're keen.
Watch out for: Some people are more "touchy feely" than others. If you see the same woman do a similar thing with other men – and girlfriends – in the office, beware, it means you're nothing special.

3. Laughing at your jokes. A classic technique. Many women and men who are flirting don't even know they do this. Sometimes laughter can be out of nerves over the other person, butterflies in the stomach. Sometimes a woman just wants to let the man know she thinks they're great.
Watch out for: If you are more senior than the woman doing the laughing, she probably feels she has to laugh at your jokes or will get a black mark against her name.

4. Smiling. Women who beam every time they see you are genuinely pleased to see you. They are waiting for a smile back – it's your signal to show you're also interested.
Watch out for: Smiles are a great way of covering up what's really on someone's mind. Is the smile genuine or does she have a vacant look behind her eyes? Does she have the same smile every time she greets somebody in the office, or is it really a special one for you?

5. Chatting. If a girl comes over and starts talking to you about non-work stuff, it's a sign she's interested. If she lingers, waiting for your response and comes back with more questions – to get to know you – you've a greater chance that she fancies you.

Watch out for: She may just be bored and is trying to pass the time. If it's a one-off chat on a miserable, wet Tuesday, maybe she just needs the company. If it's a regular occurrence it may be more of a sign that she's flirting.

Heheheheee...

have a boundless weekend #wink wink

much ado about Achebe's book

Nigerian literature will not be complete if Chinua Achebe is not mentioned.
Nigerian national awards cannot also be written without the name Chinua Achebe.
Nigerian academia will also be robbed if Achebe is denied a mention.
But what do you know about him?

Chinua Achebe, poet and novelist, is one of the most important living African writers.
He is also considered one of the most original literary artists currently writing in English.
Born Albert Chinualumogo Achebe, Chinua Achebe was raised by Christian evangelical parents in the large village Ogidi, in Igboland, Eastern Nigeria.
He received early education in English, but grew up surrounded by the complex fusion of Igbo traditions and the colonial legacy.
He studied literature and medicine at the University of Ibadan; after graduating, he went to work for the Nigerian Broadcasting Company in Lagos.
Things Fall Apart (1958) was his first novel. It has been translated into at least forty-five languages, and has sold eight million copies worldwide.
Although Achebe writes in English, he attempts to incorporate Igbo vocabulary and narratives.
Other novels include: No Longer At Ease (1960), Arrow of God (1964), and A Man of the People (1966). Achebe has over 80works to his credit/

He left his career in radio in 1966, during the national unrest and violence that led to the Biafran War. He narrowly escaped harm at the hands of soldiers who believed that his novel, A Man of the People, implicated him in the country's first military coup. He began an academic career the next year, taking a position as Senior Research Fellow at the University of Nigeria. That same year, he co-founded a publishing company with Nigerian poet Christopher Okigbo.

Achebe's recent book THERE WAS A COUNTRY was one of the first books we critiqued here, because Achebe by all standards is a boundless person.
But so much dust has been raised from different quarters especially the 'Awo' followers.

If you havnt read this book, you should. It has been heavily criticised by every reader, so i will like to hear your take. But i must say it offers no easy answers for Nigeria, reason reactions are yet to abate.

It is the story of the 3year long Biafran war and Achebe confronts the bitter truth that since independence, $400billion has been lost from Nigeria’s treasury through corruption.

Achebe ends the book with a poem: 'After a war.'
"After a war life catches desperately at passing hints of normality like vines entwining a hollow twig; its famished roots close on rubble and every piece of broken glass."

wao! on which part of the broken glass do you belong?

Celebrating Abike Dabiri Erewa.

I read on her page that her bday is jan 1st but then again...my dad had same issue...two bdays n same with my mum inlaw...u cant blame these people...something wld usually happen some where...so here's to the delectable one...

Abike Dabiri was the name we heard through out her days of journalism. Abike Dabiri-Erewa is the more current one easily associated with law making. Journalism is her terrain and quite naturally, she worked in the publicity committes of the law making boy-House of Reps. More naturally hoever is her stint with @liberating' people. Abike Dabiri Erewa has carved her a niche so much so that Nigerian history can never be written without her. I do not mean to say Nigerian women, all inclusive. Abike worked for the masses and found joy in making people boundless.
She is first a Nigerian and this transcends her make-up.

A 3 time ranking honourable member, She represents Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Lagos in the National Assembly. Her doggedness in the pursuit for justice, equity and welfare for the rights of the common man no doubt made her constituency to keep her on board.
Despite the rigours of her job, Abike is always loving, humble and sensitive to the plights of people. By natural inclination, she has time for everybody she comes across, notwithstanding status. Always going beyond the call of duty to help, no matter what the odds are. To this woman, politics should be all about service, humanity and making a difference in the life of the electorate.
She has initiated the Abike Dabiri Foundation which children have benefited immensely from. Abike, by a wide consensus, has been a role model to many, particularly women. She is a hallmark of integrity in service. A woman of strength and character, hers has been a 50 years of distinguished life
Like her or hate her, at 50, she has through dint of courage and hardwork etched her name in the country’s history of indomitable women. In essence, Abike is a trail blazer that makes the womenfolk rock!

Lets get boundless!!

Lagos among 25 most innovative cities in the world

Lagos may soon overtake Johannesburg as Africa’s business hub, the organisation said.
Despite being weighed down by decaying and inadequate infrastructure, Lagos State has made the shortlist of the 25 most innovative cities in the world.
Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, made the final cut from an initial pool of 75 cities.
The search to pick the world’s most innovative city in 2012 is organised by Urban Land Institute (ULI), an authoritative and widely quoted source of objective information on urban planning, growth, and development in the world. The competition is sponsored by Citi Group, with media support from the Wall Street Journal.
According to ULI, despite the global financial crisis, each shortlisted city has “maintained innovative mindset, and the capacity to adapt and re-imagine itself.”
It’s Fashola’s performance

Slow Down Aging by Cooking with This Juice

Okay noy literally but i know that our activities add to the fast and quick aging we see today so why not...here...#wink wink

Tip of the Day from RealAge

Whatever you put in your pan for dinner tonight, make sure you add a few squeezes of this: lemon juice.yes, lemon juice...you could even just squeeze it fresh from the fruit,
A new study shows that marinating meats in lemon juice -- or vinegar -- can help greatly reduce the production of harmful compounds linked to aging and chronic disease.
Cooking Compounds
All foods -- but especially ones derived from animals -- contain varying levels of compounds called advanced glycation end products (AGEs). These compounds are known to cause inflammation and may open the door to faster aging. Cooking -- especially high-heat methods -- increases formation of AGEs. But now new research suggests that marinating foods in an acidic, low-pH liquid -- like lemon juice or vinegar -- may help slow that formation down significantly. AGEs in beef were cut in half after marinating for an hour -- but shorter amounts of time may help, too. (Here's a spice that may help prevent the production of HCA, another harmful cooking compound.)

How AGEs Age
Meats and full-fat cheeses contain the most AGEs, followed by pork, fish, and eggs -- although even fruit, vegetables, and whole grains may contain small amounts. Marinating your food is one way to minimize AGEs. Another option: Cook over low, moist heat. Boiling, poaching, steaming, and stewing are all great choices. (Learn more about AGE compounds from the RealAge docs -- and why they're such a big health deal.)

health is indeed a big deal guys, and in our contemporary society, it couldn't be over emphasized. so don't let it take its toll on ya.

Thats the only way you will remain boundless!

BEAUTY TURNED BEAST!

A 46-year-old woman has died in Hong Kong and three others are fighting for their lives following a beauty parlor treatment that involves blood transfusion, highlighting a lack of regulation in the city's cosmetic industry.
The cases have prompted an investigation by police and medical authorities, and renewed calls by health experts for tighter regulation of Hong Kong's beauty industry.
"Yes, the woman aged 46 died (Wednesday morning) of septic shock," a government spokeswoman said. Three others, aged 56, 59 and 60, were in hospital with the eldest in critical condition.
Septic shock is normally caused by bacterial infection and can result in respiratory and organ failure, even death.
The four had recently undergone a complicated blood transfusion procedure at the DR beauty chain, according to government statements, in a treatment that was meant to boost their immune system and appearance.
The women paid around HK$50,000 ($6,400) for the procedure, which experts say is at best anexperimental treatment for cancer patients and which has not shown to have any aesthetic application so far.
DR said in a statement on Wednesday that the procedures were carried out by a doctor who was not employed by the parlor.
The procedure required their blood to be taken to isolate and culture certain types of immune cells. These "cytokine-induced killer cells" were then injected back into the women together with their own blood plasma....

MORE NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES SHUT DOWN...

When the killings in Mubi took the center stage, it was inevitable that the students will protest and eventually  shut down. may the sould of the scores killed, rest in peace.

Last Friday it was the gruesome murder of the 4 students of UNI-PORT that has today shut down the university. May their sould rest in peace.

Abia state University in solidarity with their fellow students who were stopped from writing exams due to their inability to pay tuition fee, protested and has led to a shut down.

In Benue state, the medical students who have been in school without accreditation since inception protested yesterday. This was  Following the failure of the college to secure MDCN accreditation. They are demanding that d college and d teaching hospital put some gray areas in place and re invite them within six months. The directive of MDCN are that;
1. A pathology museum be put in place;
2. The physiology, Biochem and Anatomy lab be reviewed and upgraded;
 3. The O and G,and two other theatres be put in place;
 4. The Radiology unit be functional;
5. And staff be employed to handle the functionality of d teaching hospital.
All these mention above have not been put in place yet with two and half months left.

With the current trend of events, more universities seem to have a reason to shut down by the day, and i must say these are cogent.

Will students within these many universities find a way and a reason to be boundless?

MOVING ON: yipeeee...chocolate is healthy.

MOVING ON: yipeeee...chocolate is healthy.

yipeeee...chocolate is healthy.

A small square of dark chocolate daily protects the heart from inflammation and subsequent heart disease, a new study of Italians suggests. Milk chocolate might not do the job.
However, this guilty pleasure has a limit.
Specifically, only 6.7 grams of chocolate per day (or 0.23 ounces) represents the ideal amount, according to results from the Moli-sani Project, one of the largest health studies ever conducted in Europe. For comparison, a standard-sized Hershey's Kiss is about 4.5 grams (though the classic Kiss is not made of dark chocolate) and one Hershey's dark chocolate bar is about 41 grams (so a recommendation might be one of those weekly).Chronic inflammation of tissues in the circulatory system is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease, such as myocardial infarction or stroke. So doctors strive to keep patients' inflammation under control. One marker for inflammation in the blood is called C-reactive protein.
The researchers found a relationship between dark chocolate intake and levels of this protein in the blood of 4,849 subjects in good health and free of risk factors (such as high cholesterol or blood pressure, and other parameters). The findings are detailed in the latest issue of the Journal of Nutrition.
"We started from the hypothesis that high amounts of antioxidants contained in the cocoa seeds, in particular flavonoids and other kinds of polyphenols, might have beneficial effects on the inflammatory state," said Romina di Giuseppe, lead author of the study. "Our results have been absolutely encouraging: People having moderate amounts of dark chocolate regularly have significantly lower levels of C-reactive protein in their blood. In other words, their inflammatory state is considerably reduced."
The inflammation reduction that the researchers observed controlled for other confounding variables such as wine or produce intake.
Previous studies have found that chocolate might be good for you, though doctors usually warn that it is more important to focus on one's overall diet when it comes to health. One health study found that blood platelets among chocolate-lovers were less likely to clot together in dangerous clumps.
Other studies have found a host of diet and exercise changes that can help a person beat the odds of death. Clearly, no single change is a guarantee of long life.
With chocolate, moderation is key, the new study found.
"The best effect is obtained by consuming an average amount of 6.7 grams of chocolate per day, corresponding to a small square of chocolate twice or three times a week. Beyond these amounts the beneficial effect tends to disappear," di Giuseppe said.
The milk in milk chocolate interferes with polyphenols, so the team kept that out of the study.
"We consider this outcome as the beginning of a large series of data which will give us an innovative view on how [to achieve] prevention in everyday life, both against cardiovascular disease and tumors," said Licia Iacoviello, head of the Laboratory of Genetic and Environmental Epidemiology at the Catholic University of Campobasso and responsible for the Moli-sani Project.
The Moli-sani Project is funded by the Pfizer Foundation.

Talkin sex with Children...

Today was one of those days my children had me to them.
I retuened from school with them and i switch on the T.v
and everything the preacher man says, she re echoes.
i was excited to hear her until the preacher man says...
Those of you having pre marital sex...and i frooze..
i am hoping her attention is elsewhere
but that has to be a magic cos there is nothing to distract her...
of course she re echoes...
'Those of you having pre marital sex..'
and then she laughs...and i wonder what she knows
or why she laughed...
next thing i hear...
mummy what is premarital sex...
i cough my way to the bathroom with the excuse i want to weewee....
Okay mummy...
But seriously its about that time to talk sex...
she isnt even 4 yet...i thought...
but this is what i found out...enjoy it...

Why is talking about sex important?

Children will learn about sex whether or not you want them to. Children and young people learn about sex from each other and what gets passed on in the playground may not be accurate, or what parents want them to hear.
You have an important role, as their parent, in making sure your child has the right information.
Top

When should I start?

It's best to start talking to your children about sex and growing up at an early age. They will often ask where babies come from when they're very young.
Puberty can start as early as eight for girls and boys may also have wet dreams or erections when they are very young, so it's important that your children are prepared.
Children need this information before they start to experience bodily changes. If they don't have it they may be worried or afraid.
You might feel that by discussing sex you'll encourage your children to start having sex. But research shows that teenagers from families where parents talk frankly about sex wait until they're older before they start having sex, and when they do have sex for the first time they're more likely to use contraceptives.

What if I don't talk to my children about sex?

Not talking about sex can affect how young people feel and behave about sex for the rest of their lives. If you don't talk to your child, they may think that sex is scary or embarrassing.
The UK has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in Europe and sexually transmitted infections are increasing among young people. Giving your children support, information and help to feel good about themselves can lessen the chances of both.

hmmmnnn...let me ponder on this tonight...we shall continue tommorrw.

Have you ever had to talk to a child about sex though? what age is right...

Before you answer let me just say...

talk is cheap...and yea...its easier said than done ooo

Aint no love in the garden city...

This is the first line of their rap song as i listen to it- the murderd university boys in aluu community.

The aluu murdeerd victims were creative people that had done a song titled

AINT NO LOVE IN THIS PART OF TOWN.

Indeed they were right.

Yetty big L (Lloyd)  and tipsy were their nicknames.

Both of them 'saw' this coming and sang about it.

What is the aluu community saying? For this is 'prophetic'.

If there was love, they wouldn't be there at that time.

If there was love, these boys wouldn't be beaten for so long.

If there was love these university boys wouldn't be laughed at while they were beaten.

They would have been rescued if there was love.

There aint no love, not just in aluu.

Aint no love in the garden city.

alu azege.

mourning with Uniport...

Mrs. Jane Toku, the mother of Lloyd, one of the four undergraduates of the University of Port Harcourt that were lynched at Aluu community in Rivers State, says her son’s death will always haunt her.

She also expressed shock that the crowd could watch how her son and his friends were gruesomely murdered.
Jane spoke with our correspondent amid tears on Monday in Port Harcourt.

Jane said, “When we got there, one of them was still breathing. He was gasping for breath, but the crowd…they were all there watching while my baby (Lloyd) was butchered. Come to my area and ask questions about my child; the child I trained.
“Penultimate Sunday, we went to church, Salvation Ministry; that is where he worshipped. We all went together for the second service. He stayed back for the remaining service. When he came back, he started preparing to go to school. I can still see him as I talk to you.
“He brought out a book; ‘How Faith Works’ by David Ibiyomie and he said ‘Mummy, read this book and you will know what faith is all about. By the time I come back on Friday, you will tell me what faith is all about.’
“Ever since, I have been moving around with that book, so that I could read and not get him angry when he comes back from school and ask me about what I learnt from the book.
“Thursday was his daddy’s birthday. He (Lloyd) called him and wished him happy birthday. When his daddy asked him if he would be coming home to celebrate the birthday with the family, he (Lloyd) promised to be back on Friday after lectures.
“But on Friday morning, we got the call that my son was being beaten. How can I erase the fact that my son was lynched from my mind? He studied very hard and got admission into the university.”

culled from a daily.

This is an off shoot of a failed system. I must also add that we are certainly victims of our time.

May their 4 gentle souls rest in peace.

One boundless love.

IT'S THE MIRACLE FRUIT

Sour sop: The miracle fruit

Sour sop
I am positive if anyone shares some information about a panacea for that dreaded ‘C’ word (Cancer), you would listen. Reason being that you probably know one or two persons whose demise have been attributed to the deadly disease. You probably have also heard of virtually every body part it has ravaged, including the remotest ones you could have never imagined.
I am really perturbed about how in-your- face the dreaded C word is lately; with no regard for age or gender. I keep musing, is it that all diseases just bear that name now? So, when I hear or read that anything has antioxidant properties or can prevent cancer, I pay closer attention.
When I am informed that the fruit kills cancer and has better effects than going through chemotherapy -trust me, I am thrilled. After all, it is natural! ‘The icing on the cake’ is, it’s grown and available in Nigeria!

Its flavour has been described by Wikipedia as a combination of strawberry and pineapple with sour citrus flavour notes contrasting with an underlying creamy flavour reminiscent of coconut or banana; I attest to this fully.
Nutritionally, the fruit is known to be high in carbohydrates content, principally, fructose. The fruit also contains significant amounts of vitamin C, vitamin B1 and vitamin B2.
According to research, sour sop fruit is believed to be a very good cancer preventive fruit. The health benefits of sour sop fruit include the following:
• The prickly green fruit happens to kill cancer up to 10,000 times more effectively than chemotherapy drugs, all without the nasty side effects and without harming healthy cells.
• It has a broad spectrum antimicrobial agent for both bacterial and fungal infections.
• It is effective against internal parasites and worms.
• It lowers blood pressure.
• Can help with depression, stress and nervous disorders.
• Protects immune system.
• Boosts energy.
• Prevents constipation due to the high fiber content.
• Boosts good cholesterol.
• Prevents water retention.
Eating sour sop fruit which is locally available in Nigeria is an economical way to prevent yourself against dreaded diseases which will cost you thousands or millions of naira to treat and cure in the long run.
It is a delicious fruit. You can eat it or use it to make a fruit juice. It is also very filling. I actually substitute it for a meal. You can begin to enjoy the nutrient filled and health promoting goodness in sour sop.
I wish you optimum health and well-being!

wao!

OKAY GUYS, I AM GOING TO STUCK THIS FRUIT IN MY FRIDGE TODAY. Lets do this...

One boundless love

THE LAST KING OF AFRICA

I had to bring this for you...surely a boundless man Tolu is...happy reading.

By Tolu Ogunlesi
There’s no escaping Africa, no matter how far from it you are. From England’s supermarket shelves bottled water leaps at you, chanting “Buy me and save a continent!”
You blink, once, twice, to be sure you’re not hallucinating. You’re not. The voices are as real as they are earnest: by buying a bottle of water you can help build a borehole in the remotest jungles of Africa. And so you hearken to the plea; a black person taking on guilt once monopolised by whites.
There’s even more fascinating stuff in print. I’ve been coming across a call-for-donations insert in UK magazines, in which a circular hole sits in the middle of the page, accompanied by the chilling line: “The upper arm of a child who has severe acute malnutrition would fit through this hole.”
Talk about shock therapy.
But let it not sound as if I’m complaining, I‘m not. Hey world, Africa is indeed grateful for the aid, and even more so for the headlines and media mentions. (Father of ‘em all: the May 13 – 19, 2000 issue of The Economist which paid tribute, on its cover, to “The Hopeless Continent”).
Bono and Bob Geldof also have a place in my Hall of Fame; celebrities who could have busied themselves checking in and out of rehab, but have instead chosen to work tirelessly saving Africa and its citizens. Unlike fad-hunters Madonna and Angelina Jolie who simply want to parachute in for a quickie adoption (“Err, jus’ gimme the baby and keep the change darling…”) – with a photo-shoot to boot – Bono and Bob Gee are commendable long-distance ‘activists’.
If like me you are worried about who will take the baton from them, worry no more. We have Britain’s Prince William to thank for making plans to order the over-sized shoes of the Irishmen.
Late last year Sky1 aired a documentary titled ‘Prince William’s Africa.’ In it TV presenter Ben Fogle followed the Prince to ‘Africa’, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Tusk Trust (a UK charity devoted to the protection and conservation of wildlife in Africa), of which the Prince is Patron Saint.
Prince William’s Africa… never mind that Botswana is the only African ‘province’ they visit.
I recently realised that of my many foolish (random) assumptions, the biggest has been this – thinking that Africa is what the atlas says it is. No, Africa is what Tourists say it is: the jungle and its gorillas/guerrillas (same difference!); the game park and its sunsets, elephants, lions and zebras. Kabisa!
Lagos’s concrete jungles are not “Africa”, they are “Nigeria”. Ibadan’s “running splash of rust and gold” is not Africa, it belongs to the “predominantly Christian South” (as opposed to a “largely Muslim North”) of “oil-rich Nigeria”.
Unless we can convince Prince William that ‘observing’ our politicians – especially caged in their convoys – will provide as much entertainment as a Southern Africa safari; unless we can convince him that what we lack in real pachyderms we more than make up for in (cashnivorous) ‘White Elephant’ projects; we should give up any hopes of seeing his Royal Highness’ Africa extend in the direction of Nigeria.
The Prince’s interest in Africa is clearly not a mere Tweenage fad.  He’s been into this continent since like forever. His 21st birthday party, held seven years ago at WindsorCastle, was, according to the BBC, “African-themed.”
“As the party started, outfits spotted arriving at the castle included a furry lion, Tarzan and a banana. The castle’s ancient rooms were transformed into scenes from the African bush, which include a life-sized elephant made out of papier mache,” the BBC tells us. “Other outfits seen on arriving guests included a lion suit topped with a gold crown, a full foreign legion uniform, a Biggles-esque pilot, a banana and a top-hatted witch-doctor.”
I’m hoping the future King will choose to have his Coronation staged in his beloved Africa. Dignitaries – faces painted of course – will arrive at Africa’s International Airport (named after none other than the most famous living citizen of Africa, Nelson Mandela), waving ‘iSpears’ (trust Steve Jobs to cash in on this) and singing ‘God Save The King’ in ‘African’.
It’ll be like the 2010 World Cup all over again! All we’d need to do in terms of security would be to prevent the Swazi king Mswati III from coming near the new King – we don’t want anyone extolling the virtues of Royal polygamy to the head of the Church of England do we?
The Africa that the Prince will be ‘inheriting’ when he becomes King will of course be vastly different from the one his grandmother inherited when she became Queen almost sixty years ago. But who cares? Prince William’s Africa – full as it will be of elephants, witch-doctors, Tarzans, vast farms and BBC and SkyTV cameras – will be, for most of Europe and America, a vastly recognisable Africa.
I’m betting The Economist will want to atone for past sins. Atop an image of frenzied crowds lining the streets of Africa to hail the brand new King William V, our beloved newsmagazine will plaster these words (a marked improvement on a decade ago): “Africa: The Hopeless BUT Happy Continent!”

Lets take a break...

Lets take a mental break from Nigeria,
Is that even possible?
may be no, may be yes.
But we need a way forward
and this doesn't start with a broadcast
neither does it start with a policy
It starts between our ears. For each of us

Lets take a break from the Constant Negative News
i dont intend to write CNN
cos i know NTA would ont do you justice
or will it? but what news channel isn't biase
for a news hungry generation?
entertainment will not be a bad one
or may be sport...yes sport. For each of us

Lets take a break from ourselves.
Now this is getting completely insane
but i mean to say from our routines
If we but step out of our boundaries,
we will see the other side clearer.
and many doubts will be better cleared or confirmed
That it can either be greener or browner. For each of us

Lets take a break from  our places of work,
And thats why you are entitled to an annual leave
when last did you take yours?
when you go on it, do you really take it?
Is the period meant for rest or a new creation?
businesses also need leave periods for growth.
we will be the better thereafter. For each us.

one Boundless love.
