So what is so Important About The Girl Child?

When the world stops every thing else to beam light on something or someone, you should listen. We made some time out to listen and here are innocent different angles about the girl child.  You will be glad to read these. The questions, lessons and resolutions especially, straight from the children.

Why didnt God send Jesus to earth as  girl to buttress the importance of the girl child?

Why isnt there a day for the world to celebrate the boy Child?
Does the girl child really face more challenges than boys?

These and more were the answers sought from Anisa Ari-Amenuga, senior Programme Coordinator, Women's Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative, WRAPA, when she came to interact with the Abuja Children Book Club members on the importance of the day as well as the history.

She informed the children that the 2017, theme of the day is Empower girls-before, during and after crises. The children learnt that girls have more challenges than their brothers even in their homes and the children gave practical examples to support their observations. Hear them out
