My dear country is too full of drama for anyone to keep up momentum, not even the media. That is is the main reason fights, protests, demands and queries are not answered. At a point, the press wasnt free and people could only complain about perceived wrong doings by the government. Others said no, Nigerians are too self loving, they can not be seen to hold the government accountable.
On a daily basis, issues crop up. Impunity is meted out on individuals and groups of people. A select few remain in the decision making of the nation and there is continuous happenstance that yes, even the media gives up on. There is either a witch hunt of a perceived group or persons.
As seen in the signboard, the school bill board has scratched off the girls part.
The Chibok girls numbering over two hundred are still missing. Unlike a few weeks ago when the world was held to a stand still. The world's most popular hashtag was #Bringbackourgirls. Placards were held up by dignitaries, celebrities, world leaders, known and unknown people. Voices were held from all the nooks and crannies. Protests were staged worldwide. Commentaries, analysis and discussions held for and against the belief or lack of it. Many questions were raised from the number of girls that were kidnapped or purportedly missing. When the president of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan said he didn't know where the girls were, a video was released by the Boko Haram group who showed some
Where are our girls? Was that video really Abubakar Shekau? Because the SSS have repeatedly said Abubakar Shekau is dead. Some people queried the role of the principal in the kidnap of these girls. What was most shocking was that girls were already being kidnapped before this time. Parents have continued to ensure that they keep their children out of harms way. The citizens and residents of Chibok have endured more than the papers have written. They experienced more than the screens and internet had to offer. These girls have been missing for almost three months.
WHERE ARE OUR GIRLS? Where are our sisters? Where in the world? In Africa? In Nigeria? Where are the over 200 girls that are missing from Chibok?
Our girls are still missing. Please dont stop! It is not yet over. Our girls are not back. The former president said they will soon be released, especially the sick ones. A gut feeling tells me they are sadly
The media should wake up please. The protests should continue. The queries about their whereabouts should keep keeping on. No matter where they are. No matter who has them and why they have them, they should be pressurized. Let the voices go up. Let the western help make sense. Let the armies and intelligence of the West be valuable. We believe in your 'help'. Never mind what other people have said. Please give us answers.
IT IS NOT OVER UNTIL WE FIND THESE GIRLS. Where are the missing Chibok girls? Lets keep on asking for it is not yet uhuru.
One love!
