Boundless people never sleep nor slumber, The
Alumni of the Kennedy Lugar-Youth Exchange and Study program (KL-YES), Benue
State on the 22nd and 23rd February 2013, carried out a
renovation project on the Primary Health Care Centre, Wadata.Read more and see pictures after the cut.
The
renovation of the clinic was carried out by the Alumni namely Michael Ikwuyum,
Roseline Teghtegh, Mimidoo Shie, Halima Idris and YES selected students waiting
to travel by August were Emmanuella Agada, Emmanuel Musa, Kelvin Bula, Blessing
Ori Ogbu and a few volunteers; Isaiah Adadu, Samson Gambe, Kator Azongu and
Mike Oyih. The State Coordinator,Mrs Mmaasuur Audu-Gambe guided and supported
the Alumni and the Volunteers through out the project.
The Alumni did the painting of the walls,
fixing of the window nets and the ceiling. They also decorated the waiting hall
with cardboard papers with hand written educative messages. The alumni and the
volunteers interacted with the staffs of the clinic and the out patients that
visited the clinic for various kinds of checks. To this regard the alumni were
further intimated with the problems of the clinic where they also solicited for
assistance if they can be any.
