S.A TO PRESIDENT ON JOB CREATION OFFERS FASHION, MUSIC AND MOVIES OPPORTUNITIES.
That Nigeria is transforming is not far fetched as new offices have sprung up within this administration. Today, Ms. Josephine Washima, the S.A to the president on job creation had a press briefing that intimated journalists on the next outting her office would have.
Her's is youth related and yes, the unemployed are 80% youth. May be more?
So this first-of-its-kind office has the mandate to make a conducive environment for the private sector to create jobs. The S.A said jobs wouldnt be created by the government per se, but her's is to make a ready atmosphere for these jobs to thrive, this was the beginning.
Take a statistic and tell me the ventures young people are into?
Your guess is as good as mine. Fashion, music and movies.
Yes everyone wants to sing, act and be a designer but then again, everyone has got a talent that can be traded for a daily bread so why not?
So come March 30th, the S.A to the president on job creation, Ms. Josephine Washima would host an edutainment concert for the young employed populace to come learn, acquire, perspire and actualize their vision.
Is yours to meet actors? Kanayo O.Kanayo was at hand to say all actors would be on ground and avail themselves as mentors to as many people as would avail themselves.
The partners of the event also announced their willingness to carry along everyone across the strata.
Designers to promote culture, skill, creativity and textiles will be expected to also avail themselves and mentors other young Nigerians who nurture such ambitions.
The morning sessions will be from 8am-5pm where sessions will be in place to interact and choose these mentors. The evening session will be one to relax and look forward to performances of indigenous artists.
The good news for me is, though the SA acknowledged how hard it was to recover loans from Nigerians, she says there are plans to work hand in hand with the CBN to track these young people who would start a trade, come March 30th.
I consider this boundless that Nigerians are stepping out of their comfort zones to write history in their little corners.
