Whats your take on17year old Malali's cash donation?

Girl-child education advocate, Malala Yousafzai, accompanied by her dad, met with Pres. Jonathan yesterday July 14 at the State House.

Malala made the donation of $200,000 from her scholarship fund for the education of her fellow Nigeria sisters.

Speaking during the meeting, President Jonathan said; “I personally believe that since about 50 per cent of our population are female, we will be depriving ourselves of half of our available human resources if we fail to educate our girls adequately or suppress their ambitions in any way. We are therefore taking steps to curb all forms of discrimination against girls and women, and have also undertaken many affirmative actions on their behalf” he stated.

Today, the 15th day of July is day 92 since the Chibok girls were said to be abducted. While some have escaped from the cold arms of Boko Harram, the majority are still at large.

Pakistani teen Malala Yousafzai, shot in the head by the Taliban after campaigning for the right to education for girls, promised on Sunday to help free a group of Nigerian schoolgirls abducted by Islamist militants, multiple news outlets reported.
Malala met with parents of the more than 200 girls who were kidnapped by the Islamic militant Boko Haram from their school in April. The bold attack drew an international outrcry, including a social media campaign on Twitter featuring the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls.
Some of the parents, gathered on Sunday at a hotel in the Nigerian capital of Abuja, broke down into tears as Malala spoke, NBC News reported.

"I can see those girls as my sisters ... and I'm going to speak up for them until they are released," said Malala, who turned 17 on Monday.  She categorically said  "My birthday wish this year is... bring back our girls now and alive," she said. For those of us who doubted this abduction, this young Pakistani has found the parents and got their shots.

Michelle Obama and Angelina Jolie are among celebrities who have been pressing Nigerian authorities to find the hostages who have not yet been freed.
Malala was 11 when she began blogging under a pseudonym about the difficulties girls encountered obtaining an education under Taliban rule in the Swat district of north-west Pakistan. The BBC published her blog, and she rocketed to international fame.

In October 2012 an assassin boarded her school bus and shot her in the head. That is the reason she has a unique face. This scar has distinguished Malala from everyone and she stands out today fighting the course of her fellow sisters.

The great challenge in rescuing the Chibok girls is the need to ensure that they are rescued alive. The Govt and its security agencies were very mindful of the need to avoid the scenario in rescue attempts in other parts of the world where lives of abductees were lost in the efforts to rescue them.” President Jonathan added.
