DIVA'S LOUNGE ABUJA CELEBRATES VALENTINE AT SECHILD CENTRE A CEREBRAL PALSY HOME/
It was February 14th and many activities took place around the world. Love being the reason for the season, DIVAS LOUNGE a progressive group of ladies with the mission to empower, support and project self esteem in womanhood went to show love to a most needed group...Check out more after this cut
THE SECHILD CENTRE was the destination, a home of cerebral palsy children. It is the first of its kind at least here in the FCT. Cerebral palsy is not a disease. It is a brain damaged condition of a child that breaks down the Central nervous system and thwarts the growth and development of a child. Like the CEO Mrs Kawan Aondoa-Anjira told us, Cerebral palsy was before considered a curse. Many parents put their children 'to sleep', 'offered them back to their gods' or physically 'killed them'.
Mr/Mrs Aondofa-Anjira took the bull buy the horns having had two children born with cebral palsy. They set up a home to cater for these unique children as well as give counsel to parents of children born with cerebral palsy. They and a few family members keep the home running and there was need to share some love with them this Valentine.
