Eko oni Baje

Today is June 28th 2013. A significant day for many of us. For me,I wrote my last paper today at the FRCN Training school where i have been for 6weeks. It is the intermediate production course and my excitement is a lot.
I had lunch specially made for me by an acquaintance Erica. Thanks babes. She picked me from the training school premises in GRA Ikeja Lagos and as we drove to her home, i couldnt help but marvel at the work done and on going in Lagos state.
The lagos State governor Babatunde Raji Fashola who celebrated a special June 28th has written his name in the sands of time. He clocked 50today and one cant help but celebrate this vibrant man.

So Uncle Fash as he is popularly called was 44 when he first got to the governor's seat?

44 isn't so young you might say, but i consider it so because looking at the degree of hawks in the main stream of politics, one would want to give kudos to the god father of contemporary lagos politics. Ahmed Bola Tinubu who just lost his foster mum has also found his name on the marble of eko. Even though some may argue that he didnt write his name by himself.
Eko oni baje!
It took us 16minutes to drive to Gbagada from GRA Ikeja and my host Erica explained the role of  Lastma and how buses would have made that trip 2hours if Lastma was absent. I noticed unrelenting vigor in the officers as they carried out their duties.
Eko Oni Baje.

We got to her haven in good time and as mothers trooped in and out, i saw a sense of fulfillment in Erica who hungry to satisfy her clients. She owns a creche-tots and cots. That fulfilment is the kind i believe Uncle Fash has on. Or who knows? he might even be hungry for more, because
Eko oni Baje.

Happy birthday to the most visionary governore in Nigeria. The only one who's works speak for him. The others seak speak for their works.
Uncle Fash. Eko Oni Baje! and we pray this even beyond your tenures. Happy 50th celebration sir.
This is the message from the presidency:
President Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola as he celebrates his 50th birthday on Friday (today).
According to a statement by Presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati, the President conveyed warm felicitations to Fashola and wished him more years of service.
